Nora Barton
Nora played cello on both of Matthew Shelton's albums (Cold Water, Hot Blood and The Vine).  They continue to collaborate on music projects in Chicago.

Nora freelances as a classical cellist throughout Chicago and teaches beginner string lessons at the Latin School of Chicago.  She will be traveling to France in May with her band of two years, Jon Drake & The Shakes.

She received her Bachelor of Music degree in cello performance from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music in 2006.  Nora has participated in several music festivals, including CCM's "MusicX" and The Opera Theatre and Music Festival of Lucca, Italy. She is a recent graduate of the Chicago College of Performing Arts, receiving the Master of Music degree.  Nora is an active member of Classical Revolution Chicago, an organization that presents concerts in nontraditional venues, revolutionizing the way classical music is programmed and heard.
